Operational Resources
Ocean sea transportation has been proven to be optimum at around 25,000 to 40,000 MT cargo lots. Larger vessels are often unable to fit into tight ports, especially those of developing countries with limited infrastructure such as West Africa. G Bulk's fleet of geared handy-sized vessels (approx 30,000-40,000MT Dwt each) provides under the company's accomplished management and rigorous operational resources a secure, economic and reliable transportation service worldwide.

// A closer look

A large international grain house, based in Geneva, seeks to ship 25,000 MT of raw bulk sugar from Santos, Brazil to Batumi, Georgia.

How we do it

The grain house enters the chartering market, through a panel of international shipbrokers, looking for tonnage with immediate availability in Brazil.
One of G Bulk's vessels is anchored outside the port of Paranagua, ready in all respects to fix. Negotiations follow and eventually an agreement is reached. The fixing bell sounds.

Copersucar Terminal, Santos : Upon vessel's arrival the following day , vessel enters free pratique and within a couple of hours loading of raw bulk sugar commences with automatic loaders. Upon vessel's completion she sails and twenty days later she arrives at port of Batumi, Black Sea. There, cargo is discharged by means of electro-hydraulic grabs fitted to her 25 ton cranes under the close supervision of one of G Bulk's experienced port captains.
